Also as a side bar, please continue to pray for discernment and guidance in the direction I am suppose to take. I have worked very hard to get Reveal launched. I have a lot of marketing ideas, especially now that the web site is live to get it off and running. Everyone I talk to LOVES the concept. I am truly an entreprenur at heart and the thought of reentering the work force completely dampens that spirit. I have strongly sent the message to my girls the importance of always being happy, inspired, and passionate about your line of work. Of course everyone has THOSE days, I don't live in a bubble, but THOSE days should be far and few and NEVER out numbered the GREAT days! Milo and I have always agreed that it is better to down size your life style than to compromise your daily joy, simply to just 'do a job'.
I will however do whatever I need to for my family and do have two interviews on Tuesday this week. One is a temporary position helping with the 2010 US Census and the other is a sales position for a phone book company marketing the 'small town' phone book concept to neighboring communities in the greater Cedar Rapids area. The later has a full board of benefits, which as Milo is contemplating returning to the sales field as an independent contractor, would save us some cash in the short term as he is building his customer base. I was surprised at the cost of health insurance for the self-employed I would have thought it much higher. But then, you replace it with that good ole self-employment tax!
Taking on a full time position would greatly compromise the ability to launch Reveal, as I invision it.
We just have a lot up in the air at this time. Milo applied for a local sales position (selling some type of mechanical something) and also got wind that there is a sales position with HP (computers) that might be open.
We truly are living the motto, one day at a time, just when we start 'freaking out' we remember that TODAY, we have a roof over our heads, food on the table, clothes on our back, gas in the car, and God will simply give us exactly what we need for the DAY, not to worry about tomorrow. AND we have officially completed day 6 in our family challenge! It is actually becoming quite fun, because we have had to be creative in a few situations!
Madison was keeping me accountable yesterday, when I pulled into Drugtown after church.
Madison: "M..o..m, what are you doing?"
Mom: "Don't worry Madison, I am getting eggs and milk. It is on the necessity list!'
Give your entire attention to what God is doing right now, and don't get worked up about what may or may not happen tomorrow. God will help you deal with whatever hard things come up when the time comes.
