A Party, Random, Snow, & Buns of Steel

Madison LOVED Claire's video birthday wishes! You have to share on how to post a video!

We celebrated Madison's birthday last night with, you guessed it, daddio's spaghetti! We also had a friend who had surgery yesterday so we made a double batch and delivered a pipping hot order about 5:00 complete with salad, bread, brownies, and ice cream/fudge sauce. That should be enough to make anyone feel a bit better!

Madison's request was for Rocky Road ice cream topped with whip cream. YUM! Don't worry partner, I only treated myself to 1/2 cup of the creamy delight! Presents were shared. Madison scored Dance Revolution from mom and dad, a bit challenging but with practice I think she will master it. Putting Milo on the dance mat....HILARIOUS! I brought the house down with a little Donna Summer, Hot Stuff! Her party theme on Saturday is a 'dance' party so they are going to have dance offs to the game, but also create their own dance moves!

Madison got the most adorable PJ and slipper set from Big Sis. The slippers are so cute, I wished my feet were a size 5. Sis went to the mall and picked it out all herself.

On the way to school this morning Madison shared 'I LOVED yesterday. I am so glad I am finally 10, it felt like I was 9 forever!' I guess 10 is a BIG deal!

Winter Weather Advisory today in CR. We are fore casted to get 2 - 5 inches of snow with winds picking up in the afternoon. I wouldn't be surprised if the girls have an early out today.

Finally I held true to my word and between only a 35 degree day and running out of time, did not get my outside decor up, except for a 'random' silvery, sparkly LONG sprig that I threw up there. I had MUCH bigger aspirations with hanging silver balls, icicle lights and evergreen along with my silvery, sparkly LONG sprig, but will just have to save it for next year! For this year, people will just have to drive by and go, 'look at that silvery, sparkly LONG sprig. That is random'. O! well it was my favorite piece out of the whole outdoor master plan, so it just had to go up! I am just throwing out teasers for next year!

So have a blustery, wintry day! I can't complain wrapped in my favorite sweater and cozy slippers tucked safe away in my office after braving the elements for school drop off. Best get to work and make some phone calls!

P.S. I swear I did 200 lunges yesterday in 'bands' class and are my buns feeling it today! OUCH! What was that workout once called? O!yeah...BUNS OF STEEL! That would be me today!

P.P.S. Emilee I had a dream last night you lost your job. Don't worry my spiritual gifts are administration, leadership, faith, and creative communication. NOT prophecy! Good news was after losing your job, while waiting for Jason to get back from Washington D.C. you came to Cedar Rapids for a visit and Macin came running in the house SHOUTING...M...A...D..I...S...O....N..

Will just chalk it all up to being RANDOM!
