She played the first and fourth quarter. Madison was able to make this game. Last week she had dance class. Madison is good friends with a few of Kennedy's friends, which completely RUBS Kennedy the wrong way.
A group of 7th grade girls were watching the game and texting each other. Madison asked if she could go and get her 'cell phone' (disconnected of course) from the van. I asked, 'So you can sit with the 7th grade girls and pretend like you are texting?' She smiled and grabbed the car keys. Next thing I see is Madison smack dab in the middle of the group, taking pictures on her phone and just chatting away. Kennedy of course, now in the 2n
d quarter and sitting on the bench is FUMING! You can just tell that she is formulating her entire speech for the van ride home. Milo and I just laughed and laughed at the entire scenario, as you witnessed pursed lips and clenched teeth from across the gym floor.
Fortunately by the end of the fourth quarter her anger had subsided to a dull roar and all that was said was, 'You know Madison, they REALLY don't like you hanging around them.'
Sisterly LOVE!
Milo spent his first morning at the 'office' in his new role as an independent agent. I would tag our household as one that is in 'transition'. Milo and I are trying to adjust to a new routine. After 10 years of pretty much beginning a single mom 50% off the week, it has most definitely been an adjustment. For example last Friday, we both went to pick up Madison, in separate cars of course. And I haven't quite adjusted to the daily 'what are you doing today? question that sometimes comes several times throughout the day, accompanied with a peering over my shoulder.
Had a great interview today for an insurance agency that is looking for a part-time administrative position. Ended up having a great conversation with the gentleman on faith. We shared many of the same beliefs on leadership, attitude, environment, and business coaching. He actually instilled in me a belief that I was on right track with my Reveal business, although we didn't even talk about the business. He seemed very insightful and I most definitely think our paths were meant to cross today.
My great friend Mary, met me today for coffee. I realized that I still had $25 on my Coffeesmith gift card. AHHHHH! I LOVE Coffeesmith coffee! So I got a TREAT today! We also had a great conversation today on relationships. I love it when I have friends who ask tough questions and push me outside my comfort zone. Thanks Mary, for encouraging me today to think a different thought! HUGS!
Milo has an MRI tomorrow. We think he may have herniated his disc again. He also continues to have shoulder pain after his little, motorcycle dump this summer. So they will be scanning lots of things. Switching to private insurance, would mean any back issues would be ridered and all expenses incurred would be 100% out of pocket! OUCH!
Well, the girls are calling. American Idol kicks off tonight and the girls and I tune in every year! It is our weekly date night! Sorry Biggest Loser Fans, I am jumping ship!
It is actually snowing like the weather man predicted! YEAH! 3 - 6 inches fore casted. No School tomorrow? Wait and See!
2 hour delay today due to 'FRIDGED' TEMPS! And I DO mean fridged! And you guessed it, NO blizzard last night. I laughed at the 'back pedaling' Joe Winters did on the 10:00 news.
At least tonight, he can redeem himself!
