Long awaited blog from DRSD!

No we didn't fall off the face of the earth. Just busy with life, I guess, knowing that I am not telling all of you something that you are all not busy with as well. We have just gotten back into the routine of the daily grind, but I must not have figured out the "blog time" in the routine.

First and foremost, WOW, those are some big HOT LIPS. And have you noticed that as you scroll down they stay with you! What a fun new look for our phat family. I never realized you were such a fan of Valentine's Day, Jill. Good to know!

Well, after a very frigid week, I think we survived. We all kind of crashed last (Friday) night. Kevin was up early in search of the great fish, and should return sometime late tomorrow. So this morning the kids and I were up and at them. Left at 10:00 to take chili to the church for soup supper tonight, then on to Sioux Falls. The roads were YUCK!! So it was a bit slow going. Errands here, errands there! Slushy, slushy parking lots and 25 mph winds and to top it all off it was CRAZY DAYS at the mall. There is a reason they call it crazy days, and it's not because of the crazy deals. It's the crazy people driving crazy to get the crazy deals!! Needless to say, we had ZERO meltdowns (that includes mom!) and all in all it was a nice and productive trip to SF! Drove into the driveway at 4:20 and unloaded. The best crazy day deal of the day was a 6 dollar pair of black pants for mom. Can't beat that! And because children were with me, I didn't try them on (that's my with kids shopping philosophy, "if they look good, buy them, try them on at home, and return if needed"), but they fit! Phew!

Tonight, I think I am going to tackle the mount o'laundry in my laundry room and snugs with the kids. Tomorrow it's church and I am assuming I will still be working on the laundry. We were invited over to a friends house for a kids/parents "play-date" in the afternoon and then I am sure before we know it we will be preparing for Monday morning again. And so it goes.....

Sounds like everyone is sticking to it with our next 10 week challenge. I can confirm that we are as well! Kevin is becoming pretty diligent on his elliptical workouts at night, and quickly learned NOT to take my time slot at night! Everyone keep it up!!!
