Scrapbook Challenge

My sister-in-law issued the women in our family a scrapbook challenge. Over Christmas we were presented with an assortment of various items from paper, to brads, flowers, textured ribbon, buttons, and so on. Last October my family started a blog to increase communication between the family as well as track the progress of a weight loss challenge we kicked off. In 10 weeks between 8 members we lost a total of 96 pounds!

Back to scrap booking, once we had used one of the items given in a created masterpiece we had to post a picture on the blog. The purpose of the entire challenge was to motivate us to scrapbook and inspire others on various ways to use different materials.

Of course, I holed up in the woman cave last night. Looks like my cave has expanded to include Miss Madison. I will allow it, since she is female! After a run to Walmart for her to spend some of her Christmas cash (all in the craft department) she pulled up a chair to do some beading.

That's my girl!

So check out the little purple flowers in the picture, not to mention the precious sleeping baby!

Remember when your kids were babies (like the precious one in the picture) and you asked yourself will they EVER sleep past 6:00 AM! The answer to that question is YES! With the wind howling this chilly Saturday morning we all bunked in until 10:00. I haven't slept that late in YEARS! I was shocked when I woke up! So after the shock wore off we headed down for some of daddio's famous Saturday morning pancakes, complete with a tall ice cold glass of milk.

What a perfect start to the day!

hmmmm...with freezing rain and snow fore casted for this afternoon, I think I am going to make some homemade bread and chili for supper, while I listen to the whirl and swish of the washer and dryer doing the weekly wash run today. Sounds inspiring AND delicious!

I best get a move on, it is already noon!
