Happy New Year!

New Year Greetings Family!

Can't say that our New Year's celebration was very eventful. I sent Kevin and Carter to Sioux Falls, while I started on painting Claire's bedroom. Poor girl has been stuck with eggshell white for the past year and a half. Not anymore, after 9 hours after I started, Claire's room was painted, crib was dismantled, room rearranged and official "big girl bed" put together. She was running around in circles she was so excited. At 7:00, she was purposefully yawning and saying "Mom, I am really tired." By 7:30 we couldn't put her off any longer, so by her wishes we put her to bed. She was still awake (BUT still in bed at 9:30) and drifted off soon there after. Apparently, she was very happy with her new bed and room. A big day for me, but it can officially checked off the 2008 to do list. Nothing like doing it the last minute! ha ha

Our New Year's supper consisted of grilled cheese... oops I mean gourmet panini sandwiches and tomato soup. A family favorite. According to Carter, his grilled peanut butter tasted so much better on the panini grill...must have been the grill lines on the top. {:0)

Okay, now for the really important stuff. Hello... AMC is running a Rocky marathon today, who's watching?!?!? We were discussing our favorites over Christmas. Mine is definetly Rocky IV, but I also like Rocky II, as well. Rocky III... big disappointment, but was a bit tear jerking with Mickey dying! Perhaps, we should have a Rocky trivia challenge some time. That would be fun! Always makes me think about the time, Kevin and I were at Jill and Milo's in Houston, and on Sunday we kept saying... "We'll leave just as soon as the next Rocky is over."

Anyways, Kevin is fishing, Claire is napping, Carter is playing with his new "blow gun"...don't worry suction cup darts, not poison arrows. We ran a few errands in SF today, and now that we are back I am officially going to do nothing, but enjoy a comfy couch and quilt, with the remote in hand. Currently flipping between Rocky and Biggest Loser marathons!!
