Everyone Has Got To Start Somewhere!

O! the fresh clean smell of bleach and pine sol! We just wrapped up house cleaning for the week. Being Saturday, we had two extra helpers who got inducted to toilets and bathtubs. Everyone has to start some where, you can't just get promoted to vacuuming immediately!

Just a few more phone calls to make, pedicure, spray tan, and packing left on the to do list. Might even have some time for a bit of scrap booking this weekend! Tomorrow night we farm out the kids and pets to their appropriate places for the week.

Grandpa Gary and The Mo left this morning after Mo made breakfast for the crew! Made to order, I may add! They are headed back to Sanborn, then back to ID on Wednesday after they pick up Molly in Pella. We enjoyed our time together. I think it was a grieving trip, post Ms. Annie going to doggie heaven. They needed a grand kid and grand-dog fix for the week. It is nice that they have the flexibility in their lives to do so!

I am off to enjoy a run outside in some 50 degree weather! Hot dog! Then wrapping up the weekly wash and start some packing. Meals for the weekend are whatever is in the fridge or cupboards to literally clean it out! I even got my grocery list and meal plans done for the week we get back to make an easy transition back to 'the real world'! A week of no commitments, phone calls, to-do lists, and email is CALLING my name!

Kennedy auditioned this week for the middle school talent show and MADE IT! She is playing a piece on the piano that she composed! It is unbelievably impressive! Especially given that she has never taken piano lessons.

The sun and pavement are calling my name, better.....RUN!

P.S. I Got a part-time job this week at Cedar Memorial (funeral home) and Crematorium to help the fam out financially! 20 hours/week 10:00 - 2:00 everyday. Start day is February 16th! Should be 'interesting'. Everyone has to start somewhere, right? Also scheduled an ala cart Reveal Day for March, an in home ward-robe make-over! Somebody called me! YEAH! Plus have 10 color/skin care clinics booked for the last two weeks of February! WHEW! Better rest up next week for a rockin two weeks when we get back! Milo had his first 3 sales last week YEAH! and also has 7 appointments up for the week we get back from Cabo! We are also meeting that week with a graphic designer about logo and web site development for his new company he is starting, 'Financial Fitness For Life'. Things are starting to bubble in the Japenga household!

P.P.S.
Milo is pursuing PT for his shoulder and trying a non-invasive back treatment involving extensive stretching of his back, allowing room for the herniation to go back in place! I guess when he is on the table he is as tall as 6 foot! It is very expensive and not covered by insurance, however our hope is to avoid surgery! I hope it 'sticks' (meaning his back treatment and the HEIGHT! ;-)
